What are the requirements to open an account?
To open an account, the eligibility and documentation requirements are:
Eligibility requirements
- You are an Australian Sole Trader with an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
- You are an Australian resident
- You are over 18 years of age
- Valid Australian mobile number and address Hold a compatible device registered to the Australian App Store or Google Play Store
Required documentation:
- Your full legal name
- Your date of birth (DOB)
- Your current residential address
- Proof of identity: Valid Australian drivers licence number or;
- Valid Australian or International passport

How is Parpera regulated?
Firstly, it’s important to be clear that we’re not a bank.
Parpera, or Parpera Australia Pty Ltd ABN 47 641 580 743 (as we’re formally known), is an Authorised Representative (No. 1292372) of Volt Bank Limited (Volt) ABN 67 622 375 722, which holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (504782) and is an Authorised Deposit Taking Institution (ADI).
Volt is the issuer of the bank accounts in Parpera's App and deposits of up to $250,000 per account holder are protected by the Financial Claims Scheme. As an authorised representative of an AFSL holder, we’re subject to comprehensive risk and compliance requirements and work proactively with our financial services partners to manage and meet our risk, compliance, and regulatory obligations.
Who is Volt Bank?
Volt, formally known as Volt Bank Limited ABN 67 622 375 722, is an Australian bank and is the issuer of the Bank accounts in Parpera’s App.
Volt holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (No. 504782) and is an authorised deposit taking institution (ADI). Deposits of up to AUD 250,000 per account holder are protected by the Australian’s government’s Financial Claims Scheme. This is a similar level of protection that you’d expect from other Australian banks.

How can I add money to my account?
Parpera works better with money!
To add money, open the Parpera App, and simply copy your Volt Bank BSB and account number into your existing banking provider to make a direct funds transfer. The funds can take between 2 hours to 3 business days to appear in your Parpera App, depending on which bank you sent the funds from.
We’re working on real-time funds transfers too and hope to have this available in the first half of 2022!
