Our story

Parpera - par  / pa: / pera / ˈpɪərə / Latin noun, translates to "fair wallet"

Parpera was founded in April 2020 and seeks to solve a significant problem faced by businesses, globally.
We're a fast-growing community backed and owned Australian fintech that's building a fair and transparent ecosystem of products and services to help people setup, manage, and grow their business.

And we’re starting with creating a business banking alternative that will provide sole traders, freelancers, founders, and gig-workers with digital wallet, card, invoicing, payments, and money management capabilities to help improve the way they do business in the new economy.

We raised AUD1.16m in equity funding in 2020 and have assembled a global high-performing and experienced team across Sydney, Melbourne, and London to deliver our minimum lovable product to market in 2021.

Why people need a better solution

Behind every business is a person. We interviewed and surveyed over 500 business owners, freelancers, and entrepreneurs to better understand the challenges they face and identify how we can build a better solution to help them manage and grow their businesses.

Andrew sue

entrepreneur

“We pay a Big 4 bank $10 a month for basically nothing. We'd happily switch and pay for something better.”

BRONWEN ZANDE

entrepreneur

“I will do anything to avoid more paperwork with my banking. Sending and receiving payments should be as easy as sending instant messages”

Ron xie

Freelance project manager

“I love getting instant notifications for my personal banking - I've switched all my personal banking over from one bank to another service simply for this feature. I need this for my business account too!”

Anne Lioe

UI / UX freelancer

“I didn’t know what to do when I started… ABN, insurances, and tax… I pay an agency a % of my day rate to take care of it and $15 monthly for invoicing… I want to spend less time on admin and more time with family”

Thomas o.

TRADie & E-commerce

"The banks and new lenders - while easier - kill you with fees... what's worse is that everything is a different department when you need help... and it takes forever to get a new card issued!?.”
